Rita Ann Luellen, 89, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018. She was born October 3, 1928 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Ora and Elizabeth (Gill) Rogers. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Luellen Jr. and sons, David and Greg Luellen. She attended Holy Spirit, Little Flower and St. Lawrence Catholic Churches before spending 11 years living in Florida. Rita’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest Joy, but she also enjoyed traveling, cruises, and dancing with her husband after their children were grown.
She is survived by her children, Steve Luellen, Ronnie Luellen, Nancy West, Jim Luellen (Cindy), Debbie Huxley (Gilbert), and Karen Causey; 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-6 pm Sunday, June 3 at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, Indiana 46219. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Monday, June 4 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E 10th St. Indianapolis, Indiana 46219.
