Obituary of David Owen Ditmore

IN THE CARE OF

Ellers Mortuary

David Owen Ditmore, aka Monster Bob, 66, of Kokomo left his suffering behind and joined his Lord and Savior at 8:25 AM, Good Friday March 30, 2018 at his residence. After a long hard battle against cancer by his side was his beloved wife Amber Luckey, who will grieve his loss until they are reunited for eternity. Born May 10, 1951 in Maryville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Roy Ditmore and Rosetta (Garland) Ditmore. On November 22, 1997 in Kokomo, he married Amber Christine Luckey, and she survives. He was a truck driver for several companies in the area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, and driving fast cars and motorcycles. David loved the time he spent with his grandkids, and the rest of the ornery bunch. They were the light of his life and as well as the sometimes victims of his wonderful twisted sense of humor. Dave's loss will be felt most by his soulmate, the love of his life, his beloved wife Amber Luckey, who he has shared his life with since 1989 and who he pledged his heart and life to on November 22, 1997. David is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Amber Christine Luckey of Kokomo; one daughter Sheila Ditmore of Kokomo; four sons, David Ditmore, Jacob Luckey, Jesse Luckey, and Jason Luckey, all of Kokomo; four brothers Leon (Diane) Ditmore and Charles "Ron" Ditmore, both of Tennessee, Roger Ditmore and Ricky (Linda Trent) Ditmore, both of Kokomo; one sister Joyce Warren of Michigan. There are also many grandchildren including Owen Ditmore, Haley Stout, Javid Luckey, and Serenitee Luckey. There are two great grandchildren Alayia and Alena Stout. He also leaves behind Joe England, his best friend of 40 years. He cherished their time together and the many happy escapades they shared. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo. Pastor Doyle Buckner will officiate. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the mortuary.
