I had the pleasure to work at the group home at north 17th for 5 years with miss Erica. I worked overnights, and I would walk in and she would hear the alarm and you could hear her down the hall yelling "Kaya" and I'd go,back there and she would be smiling ear to ear. She was such a sweet angel and always asking what we having to eat,if you asked what she wanted it was either pizza, barbeque chicken,or pancakes lol. every morning I'd ask what shirt she wanted to wear for,the day and it was always "purple" since that's her favorite color, and we can't forget, she absolutely loved her cookies.lol, and always talking about her mamaw which she loved dearly. Not only was,I,just a,staff member I considered Erica a friend. Even on days when I had a lot going on personally, walking into, her room and talking with her she made my bad days good. I sure will miss her dearly, and will, cherish all the memories and she will always hold a special place in my heart forever. Prayers for her family and friends💕much love

She was such a sweet soul. Erica would always have a smile on her face, and she absolutely loved cookies and going to the park. She would always say to me, "I love you", even though she had trouble talking. I love you too baby girl. Rest in peace love.
