Eva V. Bauer, 98, Kokomo, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at North Woods Village. She was born January 4, 1914, in Guy, Indiana, to Ira and Estella (Fear) Tharp. On May 16, 1931, she married Delmas Bauer, and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1991.
She had worked at the canning factory in Sharpsville and at Delco as a crystal grower. She was a member of the UAW and the Hemlock Friends Church.
She is survived by two sons, Fredric Bauer, Kokomo, and Peter Bauer, Galveston; one daughter, Cynthia (Edward) Lamboley, Sarasota, Florida; five grandchildren, Todd Lamboley, Eric Lamboley, Ty Bauer, Sara Jones, and Lisa Evans; twelve great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Clayton J. Bauer; four brothers; and one sister.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Club Eye Bank.
