Evelyn Lucille Kirkpatrick

Evelyn Lucille Kirkpatrick, 93, of Kokomo, passed away at 10:20 AM Tuesday August 1, 2017 at Wellington of Kokomo. Born March 17, 1924 in Rossville, she was the daughter of the late Oras Leazenby and Alpha (Tinkle) Leazenby. She was a 1942 graduate of Cutler High School. She was a homemaker also a musician who played the piano in many establishments around the Kokomo area. Music and spending time with her family was her life. She also liked watching the Pacers and the Colts. Survivors include one son Ralphe White Dodge of Kokomo; nine grandchildren Randy Dodge, Kasie Crissinger, Sandra Henson, Cynthia Rosenbach, Diana Austin, Charlie Meacham, Doug Evans, George Meacham, and David Meacham. There are also several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Kirkpatrick in 1992; two sons Herbert Meacham and Harvey Meacham; two daughters Jerrilyn Martin and Teresa Strickland; also her sister Gertrude Stotts. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday August 4, 2017 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo. Pastor Dale Bliss will officiate. Burial will follow in Ball Hill Cemetery in Cutler, Indiana. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at the mortuary.
