Cousin Gene had a great sense of humor and was a kind and considerate man. I’ll never forget how he handed this teenager the keys to his cool, red Mustang convertible to take for a drive by myself. What a thrill it was. He was visiting at the time with my family while on a brief military leave. He will be missed but will live on in our hearts. Thank you for your service, Gene. Isn’t it amazing that he passed into glory on Memorial Day.
