Carlton Rodgers Preas Sr.

Carlton Rodgers Preas, Sr., 88 of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019. He was born on July 3, 1931 in Lynchburg, son of the late Eugene and Addie Preas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Roger Carlton Preas, Jr. and 2 sisters, Ruby P. Poore and Nancy P. Rutherford. Carlton was retired from Fort Hill Memorial Park. Survivors include, his 3 children, Linda P. Cox, Kathy P. Morgan and husband R.T., Jr., and John H. Preas and his companion Linda Johnson; a brother, Joseph J. Preas and wife Brenda, as well as 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. At the family’s request, services will be private.
