Cora Jane Banton Blanks

Cora Jane Banton Blanks, 80, of Chase City, formerly of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019, at Chase City Health and Rehabilitation. Born January 25, 1939, Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late James Obie Banton, Sr. and the late Mary Massie Banton.
Cora was a loving daughter, mother, sister and aunt.
In addition to her parents, Cora was preceded in death by one brother, Edward “Pete” Lee Banton.
Cora is survived by two sons, Daniel W. Blanks and his wife Glenda of Rustburg and Benjamin J. Blanks of Lynchburg; two siblings, James O. Banton, Jr. of Stanardsville, and formerly of Lynchburg, and Mabel B. Fitzgerald of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2019, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Dan Manley officiating. Interment will follow at Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
