Dorothy Lorine Silby Logwood

Dorothy Lorine Silby Logwood, 89, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at the Centra Health Hospice House. She was the wife of the late William John Logwood. Born April 21, 1928 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late John Berry Silby and Annie Lee Silby and was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. She was retired from Consolidated Textile. Mrs. Logwood is survived by her son, James O’Neil Dalton and wife Ann of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Charles R. Dalton and Wendy Tyree; three great grandchildren; a special niece, Lynn Townsend and numerous other nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel with Pastor J. Mike Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Presbyterian Cemetery.
