Frances Burks Neighbors, 84, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Burton Warrick Neighbors.
Born on November 12, 1933 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late William Leslie Burks and Louise Baldwin Burks. Frances was retired from General Electric Corporation and a member of Clearview Baptist Church. In her spare time she loved to spend time reading, sewing and taking cruises.
She is preceded in death by a son, Robert Harder; a son in law Jerry Lawhorne; and two brothers, Frank Burks and Robert Burks.
She is survived by her Children, Brenda Lewis, Marie Simmers, David Harder and wife Vanessa, all of Lynchburg, Earl W. Harder and wife Jennifer of Forest; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday March 20, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Pastor Mike Dodson officiating, Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
