George Eugene Seay

George Eugene Seay, 85, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Jean Wooldridge Seay. Born December 22, 1926 in Bedford County, he was the son of the late John Albert and Lucille Feagans Seay Reynolds. Mr. Seay was retired from Barker-Jennings and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Mr. Seay is survived by two sons, George W. Seay and wife Charlotte of Bumpass and James A. Seay and wife Kimberly of Moseley; one brother; six sisters; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Rev. Dennis Hollingsworth officiating. Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Entombment will follow at the Fort Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
