Janie Alease Goff, 71, of Rustburg went to meet her Creator Saturday, October 20, 2018, at her residence. She was the wife of Robert Page Goff. Born November 12, 1946, in Gladys, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Elmo Childress, Jr. and the late Janie Hailey Childress.
Alease was a retired deli worker, and a member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Alease is survived by her daughters, Pamula Goff Floyd (Coleman) of Norfolk and Sharon Ann Goff of Spokane, WA; four siblings, Everett Childress (Sandra) of Madison Heights, Dale Childress (Brenda) of Salem, Steve Childress of Williamsport, PA and Jean Hendricks of Madison Heights; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at Virginia Memorial Park in Forest with the Rev. Gene Steele officiating. Visitation at the residence will take place following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hyland Heights Baptist Church Children’s Ministry.
