Stanley Coleman Moorefield

Stanley Coleman Moorefield, 71, of Rustburg, went home to his Heavenly Father surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 8, 2021.
Born April 24, 1950 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Harrison and Frances Moorefield. Stan proudly served his country for six years in the Army National Guard and was retired from VDOT after 40 years of service. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, and an avid tractor-puller.
In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Zoe Frances Pratt.
Stan is survived by his best friend and wife of 53 years, Eva Caldwell Moorefield; daughter Shannon Moorefield Pratt and husband Jesse; grandson Logan Taylor Pratt, wife Yanelly, and one soon to arrive great-grandson; grandson Layne Coleman Pratt; sister Shirley M. Marstin and husband Rayford; and numerous family members.
A memorial service will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church in Rustburg on Wednesday, May 12th at 2:00 with Pastor Jennifer Vestal Moore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Due to COVID restrictions, masks will be required.
