Doug was a good man, a giving man. He helped me move to danville in January 2002. He would not accept any repayment. I will remember him also for his big smile. May God bless the family and friends.

I was so sorry to hear about Doug and his passing. Have wonderful memories of him when he worked at Southern VA Mental Health Institute. Although, I did not work with him in his department, I remember him visiting the Activity Therapy Department a lot , and him sharing his good sense of humor with us and enjoying life. He was a fun person to be around and just enjoyed each day to the fullest. Prayers for peace, comfort, and strength for your family now and in the days to come.

So sorry to learn of Doug's passing. I have lots memories from school and our time bowling leagues at the Plaza Bowl ( yea way back ). I also will remember all the times with our friends and the love for a fast muscle car from the cruising days - if only we had digital cameras and cell phones and Facebook back then, we did our own version of Street Outlaws before it was a syndicated TV show. I hope God has eased the pain and struggle my friend, R.I.P "56 HIGH"!
