Bobby Thomas Shytle
September 15, 1932 – March 6, 2018

Bobby (Bob) Thomas Shytle, 85, of Martinsville passed away on March 6, 2018.
He served in the Army during the Korean war, where he was stationed in Germany. He spent 33 years working in the newspaper industry locally at Martinsville Bulletin, Publisher of Franklin News Post and retired as the Publisher of Mayfield Messenger in Mayfield Kentucky.
Bob’s enjoyment was his family, especially his grandchildren. His greatest enjoyment was golf and his closest friends at Forest Park Country Club where he was a member for 46 years and where his family created many memories. Bob and his wife Margie loved to travel for Golf, to locations such as Florida, South Carolina, Las Vegas and Phoenix. Bob was also a long-term member of the local Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margie Adkins Shytle; a daughter, Susan Ballard and husband Mike of Williamsburg; a son, Scott Shytle and wife Melissa of Martinsville; four grandchildren, Siara DeNicola and husband Justin, Brittany Ptachick and husband, T.J., Sterling Shytle and Alexis Cassady.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Martinsville.
