Obituary of Betty Jane Parmer
Just Call Me Betts Betty Jane Parmer, 87, passed away peacefully at home with her loving niece Michele Brozik Davis and family at her side in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Betty was born on June 21, 1936, to Michael V. Brozik and Mildred Vujcic Brozik in Dilliner, Pennsylvania. She is the eldest of five children. She began working for the Pennsylvania State Retirement Board in Harrisburg immediately upon graduating High School. Further along in her career, she co-founded Fine Line Homes, Inc. in 1972, along with numerous other businesses associated with the home building industry. After leaving the business in the early 1990’s, she became a retail entrepreneur, owning several businesses and managing commercial properties in the area. Part of her passion was long-term support and advocacy for many local and national charities. She exhibited much enthusiasm for reading and traveled the world, including trips to England, Ireland, China, along with cruising on the on the QEII and a Concord flight from Europe. Betty was strong-willed and lived life on her own terms. She had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. She was clever, witty and full of knowledge gained through all her life experiences. She also had a great sense of style and class with her extraordinary ability to blend the unconventional with the elegant. Betty is survived by one sister Dianna Brozich and two brothers Stanley Brozik, Sr. (Karen) and Ronald Brozik (Sue), along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces. Betty is preceded in death by her parents Michael V. Brozik and Mildred V. Brozik; sister Georgianna Brozik Wagner A celebration of life Reception will follow in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The family is currently making plans, details, of which, will be shared soon.
