Golden L. Gragg

Golden Lester Gragg Jr., 73, of Muncie, passed away at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 4, 2021. He was born Friday, November 7, 1947, the son of Golden Lester Gragg Sr. and Anna M. (Rollen) Gragg. He married Paula Chasteen on February 21, 1969, and they shared fifty two years together. Golden went from high school into the Navy, where he served from 1965-1968. He joined the Army National Guard and served from 1976-1996. He was also a member of the Delaware County Honor Guard. Golden worked for Borg Warner for thirty four years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #321 in Yorktown. Golden loved to golf and bowl. He was in a bowling league. He also enjoyed watching old western movies and military movies. He loved being with family and especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. Golden is survived by his loving wife, Paula; his sons, DeWayne Gragg and Roger Gragg; grandchildren, Jared Gragg, Kelsi Gragg, Chloe Gragg, and Kiera Gragg; sisters, Nancy (Raymond) Hicks of Blountsville, IN, Carol (Tom) Swift of Pensacola, FL, Joyce Hargis of Muncie; a sister-in-law, Minnie Gragg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Golden and Anna Gragg; grandson, Duncan Gragg; brothers, William, Roger, Wayne, Ralph, Mark, and James Gragg; and sisters, Ethel Ditton, Madonna Wake, Dorothy Norton, Jeanette Phillips, and Gloria Neal. Friends and family may call Tuesday, June 8, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Associate Pastor Dan Kauffman will officiate. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are required as well as social distancing. Graveside services will be at Elm Ridge Memorial Park immediately following the service.
