Artis Lamb Main, 98, of New Albany, passed away July 9, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, John Hughes Main, pre-deceased her. Artis, born February 23, 1920 to Herbert Otto and Laura Ann Lamb, was an avid quilter, golfer, and served as a water safety instructor for the American Red Cross.
She is survived by her sister, Paula Jane Harris, and twin daughters, Jan Craig of New Albany (husband, Ronald W. Craig) and Ann Wright of Texas. Artis is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Bradford W. Craig (wife, Tammy), T. Eric Craig (wife, Carolyn Rudy), Leslie Craig Henderzahs (husband, Allen), Kimberly Craig Hartlage (husband, Lenny), and Tara Ann Melacon; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and niece, Tamara Harris.
A Reception of family and friends will be held from 3:00 pm ~ 5:00 pm Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. A Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel.
