Gerald L. "Jerry" Davisson

Gerald L. “Jerry” Davisson, 82 years of age died Monday, March 5, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born August 11, 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Joseph Floyd and Nannie Lillian Davisson. Gerald was a 20 year veteran of the United States Army serving in both Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW Post #1693 and American Legion Post #28, both in New Albany, and an active member of the Floyd County Family YMCA. Gerald was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Gertrude; brother, Bill Markham; and nephew, Ted Gregory. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Fowler (Garland); Garland’s sister, Belinda Lee Fowler; sisters, Joyce Royalty (Howard), Joyce Gregory (Marvin); brother, Virgil Markham (Gloria); sister-in-law, Gayle Markham; nieces and nephews, Cindy, Mark, Victor, Melissa, David, Karen, Monika, Erik, Billy Joel, Tanya, and Tim. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home chapel with burial and military honors at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
