Amanda N. Livelsberger

Amanda N. Livelsberger, 97, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN. She was born October 8, 1916, in South Raub, Tippecanoe County, IN, at home to the late Elizabeth R. Buckles and Richard E. Scott.
She lived in Benton and Tippecanoe Counties of Indiana until moving to Nashville, Indiana in 1985. On June 17, 1933, she married Leo Charles Pitstick who preceded her in death on February 21, 1951. On August 23, 1958, she married Eldon “Doug” Livelsberger, born September 1, 1913, died October 28, 1994. She will be remembered by her sense of humor and unique giggle.
Also preceding Amanda in death are three grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are a daughter, Charlotte A. Yost of Belleville, IL, son, David L. Pitstick of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Brenda Finch, her devoted caregiver, of Newburgh, IN, Katherine DeMars of Wichita Falls, TX, Michael Pitstick (Beverly) of Auburn, WA; and great-granddog, Sophie.
Special thanks to the caregivers at Aria and Southern Care Hospice.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Newburgh, IN, where a Mass will be said for her, and her ashes will be placed in the grave with Leo C. Pistick in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lafayette, IN.
