OBITUARY
Brian Dale Pleuss
November 8, 1954 – April 6, 2018
IN THE CARE OF
Alexander Funeral Home-Newburgh Chapel
Brian Dale Pleuss, 63, went home to reunite with his beloved wife, and to be with his Savior, on April 6, 2018. He was born November 8, 1954, in Warren, Ohio, to Donald and Wilma Pleuss, both of whom preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he studied chemical engineering, and worked for many years at Alcoa as an environmental engineer. He raised a family with the love of his life, Cheryl Pleuss, for 29 years until her passing in 2015. They enjoyed many family trips to Disney World and Destin, and in later years enjoyed going on cruises together with their close friends. He was an amazing father, provider, and man of God for his family. He loved anything to do with technology and computers, playing his guitar, singing in church, or singing loudly to his favorite music at home when people were trying to watch T.V. downstairs. He was also passionate about sharing his faith, and even wanted to use his battle with cancer to help people understand that they can still see God’s love in hard times. He was a member of Abundant Life Community Church of Newburgh.
Brian is survived by his son, Jared (Sarah) Pleuss, Newburgh; daughter, Jessica (Jerrit) Hall, Evansville; grandsons, Christian, Charlie, and Cohen; a new granddaughter arriving in August, 2018; brother, Keith Pleuss of Florida, and his sister, Linda Pleuss of Texas.
Funeral service will be conducted 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Rd 261, with Rev. Troy Boulware officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 3-8 PM at the funeral home.
