Obituary of Donald Ray Robinson
Donald Ray Robinson, 82, of Newburgh, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born November 27, 1935, in Boonville, Indiana, to the late Tommie and Mollie Robinson. Donald was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Evansville. He retired from Sears after 40 years of service as a Manager. He loved to work and be around people, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin and Alfred Robinson. Donald is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sharon (Lefler) Robinson; daughters, Sherry Carter (Chuck) of Henderson, KY, Judy Cron (Tim) of Newburgh, Norma Barnett (Jim) of Evansville and Stacy McDonald (Tim) of Newburgh; son, Daniel Robinson (Kathy) of Evansville; two nieces and a nephew he raised, Deborah Vaught, Donna Zehner and Fred Robinson; grandchildren, David and Scott Cobb, Daniel Robinson, Jr., Jake and Emily Cron, and Hannah and Blake McDonald; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Cullison, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Southern Baptist Church.
