Obituary of Frank W Bryant
Frank W. Bryant, Jr., 79, of Newburgh went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2010, at Woodlands Golden Living Center. He was born February 7, 1931, in Crofton, KY. Frank retired from Alcoa after 29 years and was a member of the Alcoa 25-year club and the United Steel Workers Local 104. He was an avid knife collector and was a member of Evansville Knife Club. He enjoyed restoring antique knives and loved antique furniture. Frank was a longtime member of First Southern Baptist Church. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lizzie Bryant; son, Anthony “Tony” Bryant; and sister, Helen Belt. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary C. Bryant of Newburgh; son, Charles J. Bryant (Jodie) of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren, Matthew Bryant (Tainia) of Tell City, IN; Angela Lovely (Jason) of Evansville; Dr. Whitney Bryant (Matthew O’Rourcke) of New York; Ashley Bryant of New York; and Andrew Bryant of Cincinnati, OH; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Alysa, Paige, and Devon; sisters, Hazel Tyson of St. Louis, MO; Bonnie Ipock of Evansville; Glorine Sutton of Hopkinsville, KY; Brenda Storm of Canada; nieces and nephews; and his little dog, Crickett. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Cullison and Rev. Mike Pyle of Eagle View Church with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
