Robert A. "Bob" McKay

Robert A. “Bob” McKay, 75, of Newburgh, IN passed away Monday, November 5, 2018. He was born in Owensboro, KY on February 19, 1943 to the late Charles Elmo McKay and Rosie Cecilia Hurm McKay. He owned and operated Lynn-Hunter Logistics in Evansville, IN for 28 years. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. He was an avid UK Big Blue Nation fan, enjoying UK Basketball and Football. He also followed the St. Louis Cardinals and he loved his dogs Braxton and Star. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis McKay Crabtree Patterson; and brothers, Danny McKay, Charles “Bud” McKay; and nephew, Roger McKay. He is survived by his wife, Nancy McKay; son, Robert McKay II; daughter, Tiffani Weatherford (Chad); grandchildren, Zachary, Abbey and Sophia McKay, Luke and Cassie Thompson, Colin Weatherford; siblings, Jody McKay (Shirley), Ronnie McKay (Connie), Tommy McKay (Rhonda), Mickey McKay, Steve McKay (Marty), Marilyn Powers (Bobby), Anita Tooley, Carolyn Szetela; brother-in-law, Barry Freeman (Becky); and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, where Military Services will also be conducted. Friends may visit 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
