Stephen R. Endress, 69, of Newburgh, IN passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at his home in Newburgh. He was born in Evansville, IN on June 21, 1949 to the late Eugene and Mary Alice (Loehrlein) Endress.

Thinking of you at this difficult time. So sorry for your loss! I am your daughters' former piano teacher.

I was Steve's 5th grade teacher at St Theresa. I have so many happy memories of that class. I remember that Steve was very ill that year and for a long time. I would send his work home with either Janet or Richard. His Mom& Dad helped him with his and then it was returned the next day or so. That is how he was able to keep up with his studies. One day when he returned his homework, he wrote on the paper, "I shall return" . . . . Gen. MacArthur. He was an avid reader while recovering.
I am sorry about his death. I know his Mother and Dad welcomed him into heaven. Please know of my prayers for him and the family.
God be with all of you.
Sister Jolinda Naas, O.S.B.

What a great guy to be a part of our lives. Steve was one of my brother, Jim's best friends. We had Steve's 21st Birthday Party at my parents' house. It got out of hand and what a night. I know it was the source of many a story throughout great times of his lifetime. The good guys always die young... So sorry for your loss for the entire Endress Family.

I remember how special Steve made our wedding! Suddenly, with his entrance, it really was a party. My parents immediately wanted to call him “son”, and my mother flirted with him unabashedly! Ryan shared so many memories about Steve with me, that I felt like I had known him for years when we only just met. What a generous-of-heart man! God speed...
