Mrs. Henderson,
I just leaned of Bill's passing, and please accept my condolences and prayers. Bill and I were classmates for a year in the Physics Dept at UGA, and he started at LaRC a year beore I did. Our careers took different paths, but I remember the times we did work together with great fondness, and I could always come to him to discuss a technical problem or to talk about things in general. He was a true gentleman and friend. I know that all who knew Bill will miss him.

I am very saddened to learn of Bill's passing. He was one of those bosses you always want to have. Always available and listening, with a critical but supportive ear. And always interesting and fun to be around. His combination of smarts, technical knowledge, political savvy and willingness to forge ahead with what he believed in is rare indeed.

I remember Bill with fondness as he was a great supporter of my early work at NASA, always willing to try some new technology to help increase our understanding and ability to fly more efficiently. In some ways he was like a big brother to me at NASA.

Bill was so proud you and his family.

Joyce and I feel your loss.

May the Holy Spirit give you the comfort you need at Bill's home going.

God bless.

Bill was our first branch head at Langley. We both worked under him in the 1979-1980 time period, and Jan for far longer. He was a great boss, dedicated engineer, and a great person as well. He is sorely missed. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Marty, Bill, Laura, and family! I was so sad to learn of Bill's passing. He was such a great boss and always cared about his NASA coworkers like his own family! He always had great advice and an infectious smile. You will all be in my prayers!!
