Daniela Cappiello Gibbs

Daniela Cappiello Gibbs (82) passed away in Virginia Beach on Thursday, February 27, 2020. Affectionately known as Diane, she was born in Lumberport, WV to the late John and Rose Cappiello. She was an avid reader, quilter, crossword enthusiast, and prided herself on helping others and having a home full of people. Diane was an employee of Sentara Health Systems in the accounts payable department, where would retire after many years of service. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas M. Gibbs (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Kassy D. Gibbs, Erica N.Sartin and Ashley M. Gibbs; her great-grandchildren, Sabrina D. Bailey, Tyler B. Wolford, Zane T. Sartin and Lily M. Sartin; her sister, Rosalie Keener; her brothers, John Cappiello (Denise) and Tommy Cappiello (Dianna); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Gibbs; her son, Brian C. Gibbs; her mother, Rose Cappiello; her father, John Cappiello, Sr.; her sisters, Kathryn Rose Cappiello, Josephine Cappiello, Alveda Cappiello, Helen Mae Davis and Mary Julia Cutrell; her brothers, Bennie Cappiello, Jerry Cappiello, and James Harold Cappiello; her brother-in-law, Bob Keener; as well as many other dearly departed loved ones. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 11 AM within the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502.
