Lorin L. Schwartz

Lorin L. Schwartz, 91, of Uniondale passed away, Thursday, May 17, 2012. He was born on September 12, 1920 in Uniondale to the late William Henry and Lota (Watson) Schwartz. He worked as a piano and organ instructor before his retirement in 1990. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church-Uniondale and American Legion Post 111 after serving in the Army during World War II. He enjoyed traveling and will be remembered for his fond passion of Music. Surviving family include his wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Foust) Schwartz of Uniondale; daughter in law Donna Schwartz of Plymouth; Granddaughters, Leslie Schwartz, Amy (Chris) Jordan, and Great grandson, Charlie. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his son, Michael Schwartz, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be from 1-4 pm on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Horeb Cemetery, Uniondale. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church-Uniondale.
