Barry Edwin Noel

Barry E. Noel of Montpelier died suddenly on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. He was born March 10, 1949 and raised in Mineral, Virginia, Barry was proceeded in death by his parents, Clarence Peyton Noel, Jr. and Manning Francis Nance Noel. Barry graduated from Louisa County High School and was in the first graduation class of Virginia Commonwealth University after it changed from RPI. He was devoted to his family and is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gwen Morrisette Noel. Barry is also survived by his five sons: Barry E. Noel, Jr. (Maria), Thomas P. Noel (Whitney), John W. Noel, James A. Noel, and Robert H. Noel (Carrie). In addition to his sons he is survived by his grandchildren: Xavier R. Noel, Ciara C. Noel, William A. Noel, and Alexander H. Noel. Barry was a man of conviction and faith who loved the Lord. He served in many churches and ministries through the years. Barry was a gifted musician with his main instruments being the piano and keyboard. Though he played many types of music, his passion was gospel music. His professional career was spent in manufacturing as he was a Corporate Quality Manager, Quality Manager, and Quality Engineer. He was on the board of directors of Perry Johnson, and his name is listed on a couple of patents for OTEC. The family will be holding a private graveside funeral.
