A dignified woman of faith departed this world on June 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Emily Baker, Nee Tomasek; and numerous dogs over the years. Betty lived in Sandston and worked as a secretary in Henrico County. She graduated in 1955 from Highland Springs High School and was a basketball player and cheerleader. She loved gardening, reading, cooking, traveling and most of all, spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Roy Schesventer Sr.; children, Charles Jr. (Carol), Eva S. Hinceman (Dwight), Eric R. and Sarah L.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; Sisters; Jackie Mylum, Gaynelle Taylor, and Lillie Kieper(Ronald), and her faithful dog, Peaches. The family will accept friends on Tuesday, June 12, between 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home in Richmond, Va. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, at 10 a.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to nelsenrichmond.com.
