Charlotte Goad Ivey

Charlotte Goad Ivey, age 92, of Richmond, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Charlotte was born August 3, 1930. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Middleton Ivey, and her parents, O.V. Goad, Sr. and Myrtle Campbell Goad, and her stepfather, Herbert William Kelly. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, O.V. Goad, Jr., Mavis Goad White and Herbert V. Kelly, Sr. Charlotte was a member of the Country Club of Virginia, The Tuckahoe Women's Club and the River Road Garden Club. She was an avid volunteer and spent many hours at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, St. Stephens Church, and the Collegiate School. Charlotte is survived by her beloved daughter and son in law, Kelly Ivey King and Michael Gerard "Jerry" King; and grandson, Garrison Middleton King. The family will hold a memorial service at 11 am on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 6000 Grove Ave, Richmond, VA 23226. She will be laid to rest in a private service at Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Virginia Home, 1101 Hampton Street, Richmond VA 23220.
