John David Kimbrough

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John David Kimbrough, 52, of Centreville, Va, on Friday, January 17, 2020. He was born February 3, 1967 in Fairfax, Va. John loved being outdoors and lived for fishing and enjoying life with his friends. He also loved music, animals, and living free. John will be remembered by those that he touched for his warmth, loyalty, independence, and for his magnetic personality. John shared his love with his partner Kathy Murdock for more than 20 years and spoke of her to the very end. John is a veteran of the US Army. John is our brother, our son, our uncle, our friend. He is greatly loved and will forever live in our hearts and memories. John is survived by his loving parents; James Kimbrough and Barbara Kimbrough; brothers Chris Kimbrough and Bo Kimbrough (wife Ronit Kimbrough); nieces Dani, Skye, Carina, Miranda, and Sierah; and nephew Pierce. John is also survived by many wonderful in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins. John’s family will be hosting a reception in celebration of his life on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 2:00-5:00pm at the American Legion Post 177 at 3939 Oak Street, Fairfax, Va 22030. A private burial ceremony will be held in the Spring of 2020 at John’s request. In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
