To Joe's Family whom I do not know, I offer sympathy.

Many years ago when Joe was with Aetna Life & Casualty in Norfolk, our law firm, Williams, Cocke, Worrell & Kelly represented Aetna. I tried many cases defending Aetna's insureds and worked closely with Joe. He was a wonderful man. (I am now 83.)

My very first job over 40 years ago; Mr. Pitchford was my Supervisor at Aetna C&S. He definately knew his job and was one of the most experienced managers within the Richmond office. He definately cared about his staff, and knew all areas of the job from start to finish.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Pitchford's family and friends.
