Rachel Crenshaw Birckhead

Birckhead, Rachel C., 99, of Richmond, VA passed away on December 4, 2018 in Manassas, Va. The daughter of the late Wilbur E. Crenshaw and Mary L. Smith Crenshaw, she was born in Charlottesville, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Warren T. Birckhead, and by siblings, Allen, Ferguson, and Ruby Crenshaw. Survivors include her daughter, Linda B. Ralston and husband Dr. Wayne A. Ralston, two grandchildren, Warren C. Ralston (Kelly) and Dr. Sarah A. Ralston, and three great grandchildren. Rachel retired from J. C. Penney Co. as a sales audit clerk. She was a longtime member of Ridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 17, from 6-8 PM at Woody’s Parham Chapel. Funeral services will be at the Chapel on Tuesday, December 18 at 11 AM.
