Sylvia "Bootsie" Bareford

Sylvia “Bootsie” Bareford, 76, of Quinton, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ella Nicholas; siblings, Gertrude Madison and Stephen Oniel Pomfrey; nephew, Bryan Pomfrey; and great-nephew, Bryan Pomfrey, Jr. She retired as a security officer. She loved her pets, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and shopping with her niece. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Stephanie Beach (James); grandchildren, Tiffany Beach, JT Beach and Cole Beach; her niece, Sherry Thomlinson; as well as other nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 3 p.m. in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, VA 23150.
