Tai Quoi Dung
January 13, 1952 - January 05, 2019
After a couple of years of fighting cancer, our father passed peacefully on January 05, 2019. He was a devoted husband to Wendy, a beloved father to Kommy and Sherra, father-in-law to Galang, and the greatest grandpa to Ellise and Kai.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, he was a refugee who settled in America in 1980. Through many obstacles and hardships, he successfully migrated to the United States for a better life and greater opportunities for his family. Tai truly lived life to the fullest through the simplest pleasures: shopping for the most fascinating knick-knacks, cooking delicious meals for his family, traveling to all corners of the world, singing karaoke with family and friends, and relaxing every morning with a cup of Starbucks coffee. He was known to find any excuse possible to host the most wonderful parties to bring the family together. His enthusiasm for these gatherings brought so much laughter and fun that he will be greatly missed by all. He was a metal sign fabricator and his creations can be seen throughout various landmarks around Richmond, including the luminous Carpenter Theatre canopy, each of the 14 GRTC Pulse Station signs from Willow Lawn to Rocketts Landing and the famous “Welcome to Henrico” sign. He will be remembered with the legacy left behind and missed by all his family and friends.
