Mauricio Azcunaga

Mauricio Bladimir Azcunaga, 38 of Stafford, VA passed away Thursday November 21, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife, Johanna Lissette Azcunaga; his son, Geovanny Vladimir Azcunaga and his daughters, Kaitlyn Lissette Azcunaga and Angie Elena Azcunaga. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Elena Aguilar who has helped take such great care of him and cared for him like a son. Sister-In-Law Karen Proano (Darwin) and Brother-in-Law Giovanny Martell (Rosita). Sisters Kennia Azcunaga, Yeni Azcunaza, and a brother Manuel Azcunaga, Cousin Paul Candido. Mauricio was an amazing and loving uncle to his nephews Bryan Proano, Danny Martell, Markie Martell and Milton Martell and a niece Michelle Proano as well as many other siblings, cousins, nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his son, Mauricio Alejandro Azcunaga; his loving grandparents who raised him; grandfather Raul Azcunaga; and his grandmother Izabel Azcunaga Menjivar. Mauricio loved to dance, cook and play soccer as he was an avid Barcelona fan. He will be remembered well for the great times had at so many family functions spent dancing and spending time with his family and friends. Mauricio was an exceptional husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. From the moment we first met it was true love. He was an excellent carpenter and electrician who took great pride in the care of our home and in his work. He was so proud of everything that we had accomplished together through hard work and love. We built a family with three beautiful children that he was so proud of everyday. I know he will not be there beside us but he will be in our memory every day. There are not enough words to describe what an amazing man he was. We would like to than all of our dear friends and family for all the continuous support and help they gave us during his illness.
