Obituary of Carl M. Froderman
Carl M. Froderman, 87, passed away peacefully at Westminster Health and Rehab in Terre Haute, IN. Carl was born on February 12, 1927, to G. H. and Mildred (Fox) Froderman. Preceding him in death are his parents, and his sister, Norma Jean Fuson. Mr. Froderman grew up in Terre Haute and worked as a Chevrolet dealer in Riley, Brazil, and Terre Haute. While living in Terre Haute, Mr. Froderman graduated from Wiley High School and attended Indiana State University after serving in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a charter member of World Gospel Church, past president of Terre Haute Kiwanis International, received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award, was the vice president of the Froderman Foundation, and chairman of the Christian Business Men’s Committee. Mr. Froderman was also active in the Wabash Valley Barbershop Chorus and sang with the Ambassadors Quartet for twenty-five years. Upon retirement, Mr. Froderman moved to Bonita Beach, FL and attended First Baptist Church in Naples, FL. In 2004, he moved to Ft. Smith, AR and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Mr. Froderman is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda (Selvia) Froderman ; two daughters, Pam (Charles) Blesch, Sharon Clarke; and one son, Chris (Ann) Froderman. Mr. Froderman was also blessed to have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two cousins, George Harmon and Norm Froderman; other cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A private graveside service will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 at World Gospel Church,900 Gardendale Road, Terre Haute, IN 47803, officiated by Rev. Charles Lake (retired).
