Donald W. Morris, 96, of Bowling Green, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Union Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born on November 29, 1917, in Staunton, to Rosco and Ellen (Farr) Morris. He married Marian Fleschner on March 23, 1942.
Donald served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. He was a sharpshooter and MP. After his service, he went to work at Stran Steel. He worked as a fork truck driver and retired after over 30 years of service. Donald enjoyed travelling in his spare time. He doted on his cat, Snoop.
Donald is survived by his children: Carol Jean Deal and her husband Jerry of Bowling Green; Patty Rose Oughton and her husband Brian of Virginia; Donald Wayne Morris and his wife Sandy of Peoria, IL; and Russell Leroy Morris and his wife Donna of Tampa, FL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marian on October 6, 1999; his parents; a son, William Earl Morris; and a half-sister, Thelma Adams.
