Eula Mae “Granny” Hawks, 76, of Terre Haute, passed away March 20, 2020 at the Gibson Family Center in Union Hospital. She was born on January 17, 1944, in Trenton, Missouri to Eddie and Kathleen Ellis.
Eula is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Williams and husband Martin, Rhonda Harden and husband Maurice, Jimmie Condor and husband Brad, and Vickie Goodman and husband Clarence; son, Carroll Hawks; grandchildren, Eddie Nevel, Michael Nevel, Martin Williams II, Joshua Nevel, Olivia Nevel, Andrea Nevel, Christina Lewis, Savannah Harden, Lenora Harden, Elizabeth Harden, Maurice Harden III, Jimmy Miller, James Williams Jr., Alisha Goodman, Sherman Adams II, Amy Goodman, Clarence Goodman Jr., Carl Goodman, and Angie Goodman; many great-grandchildren; and brother, Eddie Dean Ellis;.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Waven Hawks; son, John Nevel; and special friend, Jimmy Nevel.
Eula retired from Mosaic Health Care. She was a member of Eagles Aerie 291 and The Bridge Church. She loved to play cards, make canvases out of plastic, watch wrestling and NASCAR, and harass her son-in-laws.
In accordance with Eula's wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date. Mattox-Wood Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with her arrangements.
