Obituary of Gwendevere Quindora DiVincenzo
Gwendevere (McFarland) DiVincenzo, 93, passed away on March 6, 2021 in Rosedale, Indiana. She was born in Romona, IN to John and Mary Lorena (Boyd) McFarland on December 17, 1927. After moving to Terre Haute, Indiana, she met the love of her life Tony DiVincenzo (1919 – 2004). She is survived by her two sons, G. DeWayne Harper (Linda) and John DiVincenzo (Debra); seven grandchildren, Danielle Woods, Bradley Harper (Kris), Brian Harper (Melissa), Valerie Hair (James), Katrina DiVincenzo (Perry), Samantha Kelly (Patrick), and Amy DiVincenzo; twelve great-grandchildren, Alex Allum (Rich), Katie Hyde (Roldolfo), Daniel Woods, Victoria Bryant (Cody), Mary Harper, Chelsea Harper (Jacob), Alec Harper, Jordan Harper, Tevin Hair, Payton Hair, Sawyer Kelly, and Enzo; as well as six great-great-grandchildren, Vincenzo Allum, Killian Allum, Oliver Bryant, Elizah White, Bryan White, and Leonardo. Gwendevere was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 346 of Terre Haute and the Wabash Senior Citizens Center. She also was a member of AARP of Indiana. Gwendevere loved to shop for shoes and blouses, as well as clean her house. She valued being a loving housewife and raising her three children. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony; sister, Bernice; brothers, Gaylord and Raymond; and son Charles. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Hospice of the Wabash Valley. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 11am to 1pm at Roselawn Funeral Home.
