I always enjoyed seeing Lena come into Glendy's to help Mark shop for vinyl. She was witty and always very happy to hang out with him. The first time we met, she was giving her seal of approval on Mark's selection: The Doors, I believe 🤗

Mark & Paula: I will cherish great memories of your Mom! I really appreciated being invited to dinner during the holidays when Paula and I worked together at Elder Beerman. Lena was so easy to talk to and she made me feel a part of the family. Several years later, what a joy to find out she was joining the Westminster Village community. We had an opportunity then to see each other and talk most every day. Mark, she would often tell me that because you took such great care of her, she didn't have to worry about anything! She was so proud of you both. God bless the both of you. It was an honor to know your Mother. Kitz Smith

Mark I am so sorry about your loss. I haven't seen her in a while but when I did it was just like when we were going to Indy for her eye appointment and stopping at Grays for lunch. I have never met a someone as special as she was. She would just laugh telling stories about Joe and Mickey Mantle!! You are right she is with Joe now and she is safe and happy. It was so easy to love her!
