Obituary of Mary E. Nidiffer
Mary E. Nidiffer, 88, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on August 15, 2014, at the Gogebic Medical Care Center in Wakefield, Michigan. She was born on March 13, 1926 in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Jacob Williams and Dora Goetz Williams Zigler. Mary was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star, 12 Points Chapter 528, the Wabash Valley Senior Citizens Club, along with United Methodist Temple Church. Mary is survived by two sons, Bob Nidiffer and his wife Deb of Yuma, Arizona, and Ron Nidiffer and his wife Sue of Raleigh, North Carolina; two daughters, Deborah Hickman and her husband Gary of Brazil, IN, and Peggy Hill and her husband Gary of Bergland, Michigan. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jon Nidiffer and his companion Jeff Stephenson, Tresa Alton and her husband Joey, David Nidiffer and his wife Vilay, Jennifer Ripple and her husband Kenny, Angela Childress, Jim Nidiffer and his wife Michele, Melissia Larson and her husband Stan, Karen Koch and her husband Bill, Courtney Hill and Douglas Hill and his wife Stephanie; a brother-in-law, Eugene Nidiffer of California; a step-brother and sister-in-law, Mary Lou and Leroy Zigler of Terre Haute; 18 great-grandchildren, Jack, Max, Allison, Sarah, Emily, Tristan, CJ, Elizabeth, Kathryn, Lleyton, Tori, Devin, Ashlie, Keaton, Brennan, Nolan, Ivy, and, Dylan. She also had many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Nidiffer, who she married on April 21, 1943; her parents, and stepfather Lewis Zigler and step mother Judith Williams great-granddaughter, Jenna Ripple; a sister, Irene Reinhard; two sister-in-laws, Carrie Nidiffer and Sophie Nidiffer; two brother-in-laws, Walter Nidiffer and Edward Reinhard; two step-brothers, Kenneth Zigler and Harry K. McKibben; and three step-sisters, Mildred Zigler, Norma Morris, and Wilma Jean Smith. Services will be Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home at Noon, with visitation from 10:00am until the service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev.W. Kevin Drane.
