Virginia Beach - Hanna Grace Polen, 26, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 3, 2018, and went to be with the Lord. Born on May 22, 1992, Hanna was the beloved daughter of Charles A. “Pete” Polen and Anita Dixon Polen and beloved sister of Weston Charles Polen. Hanna was a bright and beautiful young woman. She was a 2017 graduate of the University of Virginia and a 2011 graduate of Norfolk Collegiate High School in Norfolk, VA. She was employed as an assistant manager at Sun Resorts.
Hanna will be missed deeply by her parents and brother, who were devoted to her, her uncles, aunts, cousins, many friends, and her cat, Foxy Cleopatra. Hanna had a great wit and a heart of kindness, she loved movies, music, traveling, and spending time with her friends, whom she loved dearly.
She is predeceased by her grandparents, Stanley Earl Dixon and Myrtle Lee Dixon, Robert Charles Polen and Lorraine Elizabeth Polen; and aunt, Nancy Jean Dixon. She is survived by her parents and brother; uncles Dr. Stanley Earl Dixon, Jr., Billy Joe Montgomery, and Jay Polen; aunts Lawana Gay Montgomery and Robin Ann Polen; cousins Brandon and Caitlin Rivard, Lindsey Newman, Molly Dixon, Erica Bybee, Carrie Hursey, Jamison Stonionis, Brianna and Isaiah Owens, Fox Rivard, Tim Polen, Beth Senn, and Tanner Senn.
Visitation is Fri, Aug. 10th, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Va Bch. A Celebration of Life Service will take place Sat., Aug. 11th, 9:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Church, 2956 Ansol Lane, Va Bch, with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Grace Bible Church.
