Ronald "Ron" Alexander Shaddix

Ronald Alexander Shaddix, 73, passed away in Chesapeake on Friday, September 8, 2017. Ron was born in Anniston, AL to the late Sardis and Bertha Shaddix. He retired after 25 years in the US Navy as a musician. He later worked for the Newport News Education System by educating children with special needs. Ron’s love of music enabled him to become the Minister of Music with Lee Memorial Baptist. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Cindy White-Shaddix; daughter, Sara Shaddix; sister, Sara Morris and husband, Howard of Alabama. Ron leaves behind as well many other extended family members. There will be a funeral service conducted at 2pm, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. There will be a burial at Rosewood Memorial Park with full US Navy military honors to be rendered.
