Allan Wrai Arneson

Allan Wrai Arneson, dearly loved husband of Genevieve Neatrour Arneson and father of Linda Christine Blake, died at his home in Waynesboro on March 23, 2019. In addition to his wife and daughter, he is survived by his stepson, Charles D. Scott and his family. Allan was born in Hillsboro, North Dakota on March 27, 1925. He served in the U.S. Army Air Core during the European theater of World War II as a B-26 Marauder Bombardier and flew over 62 missions from 1943 to 1945. Captain Arneson was awarded numerous medals including the Purple Heart. There will be a memorial service in April at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. The family requests no flowers, instead, they would greatly appreciate contributions be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Wayne Avenue, Waynesboro, Virginia 22980 in memory of Allan.
