Elizabeth Mae (Woods) Norman, 65, of Waynesboro went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Shenandoah Nursing Home.
Born March 17, 1948 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late Jay Preston and Judy Bell (Riley) Woods. On October 17, 1964 she married the love of her life and best friend, Randolph Norman. The two shared a blessed union of 48 years together.

Mae loved serving the Lord and attended Laurel Hill Full Gospel Church, Verona. She was employed by Augusta Health for 13 years until her health caused her to retire in May of 2013. When time permitted she enjoyed gardening. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.
In addition to her loving husband, survivors include her three children, Randolph Keith Norman of Waynesboro, Karen Elizabeth Beasley and husband, Mike of Staunton and Christopher Ken Norman and wife, Rosa of Staunton; siblings, her twin Marie Fitzgerald of Maryland, Brenda Woods of Waynesboro and Jerry Woods and wife, Denise of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Michael, Kayla, Franchesca and Taylor Norman; great-granddaughter, Madison Mowbray; soon to be born great-granddaughter, Khloe Norman-Hamlett.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., with Rev. William Strickler officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
