***Due to the weather, the family will receive friends on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 3:00 p.m until 5:00 p.m. at the Stuarts Draft Chapel Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft hwy, Stuarts Draft, Virginia. The graveside service has been rescheduled for Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Augusta Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the graveside.*** Jessica Mae Via, 42 of Norwood, NJ and formerly of Crimora, was called home to the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2018. Jessica was born in Waynesboro to Susan Mae and Robert Mitchell Via on December 20, 1976. She was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School. She worked as construction superintendent with Thyssenkrupp Elevators. Jessica gifted us with her fiery spirit and ceaseless determination. She was funny, loyal, and had a huge heart. She enjoyed baking and cooking and spending time with her many friends. Jessica was a true inspiration to her closest family and friends. Jessica is preceded in death by her mother, Susan Mae Daniels. She is survived by her beloved husband/ life partner of 16 years, Stanley Ringgold of Norwood, NJ; father, Robert “Mitch” Via of Waynesboro; brother, Jason Mitchell Via of Crimora; step-father, Hollis “Kent” Daniels of Windsor, PA; aunts, June Shirey of Crimora, Dawn Bruce of Rockland, MA, and Yvette Allen of Staunton; uncles, Sam Reed of Daytona Beach, FL, and Steve Shirey of Crimora; friends, her “sisters”, Kristina Cabell and Kitty Gayhart; Godchildren, Alexis and Britney of Stuarts Draft; as well numerous extended family and friends. We will honor her with a visitation for friends and family on Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Hwy, Stuarts Draft, Virginia.
