Obituary of Judy Ann McDonaldson
Judy Ann McDonaldson, 71, of Waynesboro passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. Born January 19, 1950 in Grant County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Stanley and Dorothy Marie (Finn) Arbaugh. On January 20, 1968 she married Jerry Wayne McDonaldson who preceded her in death on September 15, 2020. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Marlena Gail Arbaugh, Dale Arbaugh and Alan Abaugh. Judy was a member of Shepherd’s Chapel Church. Prior to retirement she was employed by Wayne-Tex, Inc. as a weaver. She was also a talented musician and song writer. Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed her flower gardens, spending time with her family, playing her guitar and singing music. She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren and family about the word of God. Judy cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great - grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishments in life were her six daughters and son whom she cherished. Everyone that met Judy loved her. Survivors include her seven children, Annette Hulse and husband, Matthew of Waynesboro, Randy McDonaldson and wife, Devin of Stuarts Draft, Tammy Lawson and husband, Gary of Waynesboro, Susan Dunnivan of Harrisonburg, Katie McDonaldson of Waynesboro, Christina Maupin and husband, Jonathan of Crozet, and Emily Craig and husband, Jason of Waynesboro; siblings, Carolyn Stevens and husband, George of Goshen, Larry Arbaugh of Oak Grove, KY, Rocky Arbaugh and wife, Lynn of MD, Gary Arbaugh and wife, Cora of MD, Edith Hensley of Edinburg; 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a celebration of her life will be held at 607 Calf Mt. Rd., Waynesboro on September 4, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Arthritis Foundation, P.O.
