Lula Mae “Lou” Brooke, 83, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
She was born December 27, 1938 in Eagle Rock, Virginia, a daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy Campbell.
She was a member of Forest Chapel of the Brethren and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Brooke and her son, Walter E. Brooke.
Survivors include three daughters, Patti Trice and husband, Scott, Debbie Balser and husband, Steve, Joyce Cooke and husband, Rob; five grandchildren, Jonathon Trice and wife, Megan, Andy Bishop and wife, Jodie, Stephanie Cooke and husband, Aaron Garber, Shawn Cooke, Christian Cooke; six great grandchildren, Remy and Dean Bishop, Katelyn Garber, Cora Garber, Jacob Cooke and Campbell Cooke; four sisters, Pansy, Cora Lee, Jane, Lydia; three brothers, Carroll, Bill, Wayne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves her K-9 companion, Looney and great grand-dog, Camden.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Augusta Memorial Park with her son-in-law Scott Trice and grandson Jonathon Trice officiating.
Those wishing to attend the service may meet directly at the cemetery.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
